A Personal Thank You to the Citrix Community – Guest Blog Post by Donald Wong
I’ve had the honor of working with a virtualization focused engineer named Donald Wong, in various capacities over the years. Donald has spent a significant amount of his career working with Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware technology and most recently has been part of eBay’s virtualization team, engineering and supporting their global Citrix infrastructure. Donald is a great friend and has recently been recognized as a Citrix Technology Advocate! I’m very excited for Donald, and the small part that I’ve been able to play in seeing his personal and professional skills develop over the years. If you’d like to congratulate Donald, you can reach out on LinkedIn, Twitter, or leave a comment below! Below are a couple words from Donald…
I truly cannot find words to describe the jubilation from being selected among my peers to be a part of a unique community, Citrix Technology Advocates. The journey has not been easy because we were judged by our professional body of work and our peers. There’s no shortcuts here and I couldn’t have done this alone. The journey now takes me to a new chapter yet to be written. I want to give back to the Citrix community as much as I have benefited from it. More importantly, I am simply proud to a part of a greater cause. A personal thanks to everyone who pushed me to beat status quo and where the meaning of “strive to better” requires dedication. A special thanks to Entisys360 for giving me a canvas to master my craft. And Dane Young (@youngtech), a true friend, for that voice over the shoulder that I can always bounce ideas with.
